Hi I’m Molly
I first found yoga in college because it offered me deep rest that my body and soul needed. When I began practicing yoga regularly I would fall asleep at the end of every class. Over time yoga began by offering me other gifts like spirituality, self worth, compassion and surrender. There is nothing that compares to the feeling of peace I have in my life through yoga, even when life is far from peaceful. One of my deeply held beliefs which has influenced my life path is that all people are Divine and Connected to one another. Yoga offers us all a path for self & community liberation.
My intention is to give others the opportunity for self exploration, healing and to cultivate tools for deep inner listening. My style of teaching is based on the Hatha Yoga tradition which means we will explore balance between effort and ease through the incorporation of breath and longer held postures. My group classes include postures (asana), breath work (pranayama), meditation and above all connection with Self. I honor the history and philosophy of Yoga while allowing space for each student’s individual path.
I completed my 200 hour teacher training in 2017 at the Akasha Yoga Academy and my 500 hour teacher training with Prema Yoga Institute in NYC. I am currently working towards my yoga therapist certification (2025) which allows me to better support individuals to live well via holistic yogic wisdom and techniques.
Why Mollusk?
Mollusk is an affectionate name given to me by a close friend and sister early in life. I’ve come to find it fitting because of how mollusks live and grow:
Many mollusks are sea dwellers and all have muscular, agile feet.
Mollusks grow and adapt their shell over the course of their lives based on their needs —creating a lifelong masterpiece.
Home is a part of them, no matter where they go.
Rooted and Flowing
My home studio for in person sessions is located in Senaha, Yomitan Okinawa.
